PVRI 2026 will take place in the historic city of Dublin from 28 January - 1 February 2026. The first and last day (28 January and 1 February) will be satellite meetings with the main plenary sessions happening 29 - 31 January.
And what a special year for PVRI it will be... as we prepare to celebrate our 20th anniversary in 2026, where better to kick off our celebrations than with our global PH family in Dublin - a city known for its vibrant culture and warm hospitality! And what's more.. we are pleased to confirm that PVRI 2026 Dublin has EFPIA CVS approval, ref EMT-25-04671!

Fundraising Events: Celebrate 20 Years of PVRI
As part of our 20th anniversary year, we’re hosting two optional fundraising activities to bring our global community together in a relaxed and meaningful way — while raising support for PVRI’s mission to improve diagnosis, treatment, and care for people living with pulmonary hypertension.
Join us for a morning run/walk through central Dublin or a casual pub social with colleagues.
These activities are separate from your main registration, and donations are voluntary, with a suggested contribution of 20 (€/£/$) to mark our 20-year milestone.

CME Credits
PVRI 2026 Dublin - Celebrating 20 Years of Progress & Innovation, 28 January - 1 February 2026, has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 18 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at https://edhub.ama-assn.org/ pages/applications.
Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMSEACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
The European Board for Accreditation in Pneumology (EBAP) has granted PVRI 2026 Dublin with 28.5 CME credits, plus an additional 3 CME credits as a Mark of Excellence in recognition of it being an exceptional event. The total EBAP credits delegates can claim is 31.5.

Printing your abstract poster
You can order your printed poster directly through our official conference printing partner, who will deliver it free of charge to the Dublin Royal Convention Centre in time for PVRI 2026.
Submit your poster order
The final deadline for poster orders is 13:00 (GMT) on Tuesday 20 January 2026, and we recommend placing your order early to ensure timely delivery.
Poster size and format
All posters must be printed at A0 portrait (1189 mm × 841 mm). This is the required size for PVRI 2026, ensuring your content is readable from a distance and fits correctly on the posterboards at the venue.
Please note that the order form will not automatically check your file size, so it’s your responsibility to make sure your uploaded poster matches the correct A0 portrait dimensions before submitting.
Scientific programme overview
Our Scientific Organising Committee are curating a world-class agenda, with sessions designed to reflect innovation and progress in the PH field. - Friday 30 January - Career Catalyst Luncheon
Following the success at PVRI 2025 in Rio, we are thrilled to bring to you the PVRI Career Catalyst Luncheon, a speed mentoring event offering micro-mentoring opportunities to early-career PH professionals and trainees. The event will facilitate networking and connection-building between early-career PH professionals and trainees and provide opportunities to connect with multiple established and globally renowned PH researchers in a less formal setting. Tickets are free for this function.
- Saturday 31 January - Women in PH Luncheon
For the third year running, we are absolutely delighted to bring the Women in PH Luncheon to you once again. Recognising the challenges women often face, it was originally established to support educational opportunities for women in PH and to strengthen their professional networks, aiming to build an inclusive and diverse community. Our mission is to unite and amplify women's voices to reinforce their collective interests. The event celebrates women, but men are welcome to attend as well. Tickets are free for this function.

Congress location and getting there
PVRI 2026 will be held at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre One Le Pole Square, Ship Street Great, Dublin, D08 E6PD - situated in the cultural quarter of Dublin and overlooking Dublin Castle. It’s easy to confuse with the similarly named Convention Centre Dublin, but they’re different venues — so be sure to double-check the event location when booking your accommodation.
The Dublin Royal Convention Centre is in the heart of Dublin’s transport hub, which is easily accessible by all public transport links, and is just 30 minutes from Dublin International Airport. Dublin's airport is an international hub offering direct flights to +170 destinations across Europe, America, the Middle East, and Africa.

If you’re joining us in Dublin, there are two excellent hotels right next to the Dublin Royal Convention Centre. We’re not holding rooms or rates anymore, but both remain great choices for convenience and comfort. January is a busy time in the city, so wherever you decide to stay, we’d encourage you to book early.

Seán is Consultant Respiratory Physician at Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin and Director of the National PH Unit.
Seán completed his medical education at Trinity College Dublin and his medical residency and Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He subsequently held faculty positions at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He helped establish the PH Center at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the National PH Unit upon his return to Dublin. Seán has been a working member of the ESC and ERS Guidelines Committee on PH in the past, and a Task Force member of the WHO World PH Symposiums. On a different note, Seán was Chief Medical Officer of the Olympic Council of Ireland and led the medical team at the Games in Athens, Beijing, London and Rio.
