Localization of stromal cell derived factor (SDF)-1, CXCR4 and PDGFR-bin hypoxic murine lungs. The localization of SDF-1, CXCR4 and PDGFR- was performed by immunohistochemistry on lung tissues from normoxic and hypoxic mutant mice (n=6). The brown staining represents the positive immunoreactivity for the SDF-1, CXCR4 and PDGFR- as indicated (arrow) in the figure. Lung sections were also stained for -SMC actin (purple staining, Arrow head). Representative photomicrographs of immunostained lung sections from mutant mice are shown. V- vessel, B- bronchiole, Scale=20 mm.
