The DC circuit representation of the pulmonary blood vessels reproduced from Bshouty et al. Each blood vessel is represented by a "resistor" with a unique resistance adding heterogeneity to the flow through each order of blood vessels. However, computational constraints prevented the construction of a model with more than four orders of arteries and veins. Redrawn from Figure 1 in Bshouty et al.,[25] used with permission.
