The post holder will make a leading contribution to the project: Sex and the development of pulmonary arterial hypertension. You will conduct, manage and publish research as well as assist in managing and directing this exciting pre-clinical project.
You will join the dynamic laboratory of Professor Mandy MacLean to conduct an exciting multidisciplinary project (in vivo, in vitro, molecular biology and cell culture) to identify the reasons women get pulmonary hypertension more than men. This is a devastating disease and we aim to identify new drugs for the treatment of this disease by examining risk factors such as estrogens, obesity and the effect of these on the right ventricle.
This post is full time and has funding until 31 March 2020.
