Machu Picchu is an Incan citadel set high in the Andes Mountains in Peru, above the Urubamba River valley. It was declared a Peruvian Historic Sanctuary in 1981 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. Built in the 15th century and later abandoned, it’s renowned for its sophisticated dry-stone walls that fuse huge blocks without the use of mortar, intriguing buildings that play on astronomical alignments and panoramic views. Its exact former use remains a mystery.

Scientific Agenda to be announced shortly

Our Scientific Organising Committee will follow the successful program format of our 2019 Congress and will offer even more possibility for discussion between speakers and the audience. We will encourage networking between emerging and senior researchers, as well as stimulating interactions between basic and clinical research. 15 Travel Grants will be awarded for outstanding abstracts submitted.

The program offers insights into cutting edge topics that will be matched to local and global needs. We will round-up with pro and con debates. Importantly, our translational-oriented approach will reflect PVD research from bench to bedside and back. Keynote speakers will cover PVD-related fields, thereby opening new scientific horizons for all of us.
