We are proud to announce that the PVRI has been nominated for a national film award, to be presented at BAFTA early next year. We now need your votes in order to progress through to the next round.
The awards, based in the United Kingdom, aim to celebrate creative and engaging films commissioned by charities that range from local to internationally recognised organisations.
As well as encouraging increased donations for its respective nominees, the 2017 Charity Film Awards encourage over 65,000 members of public to view and vote for their favourite films. Over 150 pieces of PR coverage internationally and over 9 million reactions through social media were also garnered, offering a great opportunity for the PVR to increase exposure in the UK.
The PVRI has been nominated for two films:
"Today's conversation" was originally screened at the PVRI Annual World Congress in Miami 2017, during the general meeting. Its aim was to remind the delegates of the remarkable conversations that take place during PVRI events, and the power these conversations yield by establishing international collaboration and in turn intensifying the value of their research.
Welcome to the Clinic
"Welcome to the Clinic" was developed as the main marketing film for the 'PVRI Digital Clinic'.The 'Digital Clinic' is an initiative that began in early 2017 with the aim of using real patient cases and anonymised data to educate clinicians across the world to diagnose PVD more effectively and also as a secure forum to encourage discussion amongst the PVRI network for more complicated cases.
It features our Chief Executive, Stephanie Barwick, speaking about her vision for the course and what value she hopes it will bring to our community.
