PVRI 2027 Travel Awards
We are proud to offer £20,000 in travel awards and free memberships to help early-career professionals and colleagues from low- and low-middle-income countries (LMICs) join us at PVRI 2027 in Bangkok.
If you are an early-career pulmonary hypertension (PH) professional from a low- or low-middle-income country or a colleague from one of the areas where PVRI is building PH capacity, these awards are for you. We want to help build your involvement and your skills in PH diagnosis, care, research and service development.
The maximum value of any one grant is £2,000, but applications for smaller sums are welcome. Awardees who are not currently PVRI members will also receive a year’s free membership. Delegate registration fees apply.
What you can apply for
These new awards are to help build research, care, advocacy or service development globally. Five awards of up to 2,000 each (£10,000 total) are available for early-career professionals living and working in LMICs across the world.
Eligibility criteria
- You must be an early career professional (see our early career definition)
- You must be working in pulmonary hypertension research or clinical practice
- You must be living in a low-income or a low-middle-income country
- You must have a demonstrable need for financial support
- You must be committed to post-Congress knowledge-sharing activity
- You must agree to complete post-award evaluation and participate in PVRI awards promotions
These new awards are to help strengthen collaboration, engagement, and long-term professional research and development in PH, a total of £10,000 is available to professionals actively working in PVD from Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Timor-Leste, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, & Thailand).
Eligibility criteria
- You can be of any career level
- You must be working in pulmonary hypertension research or clinical practice
- You must be either living in OR actively supporting capacity-building PH work in: Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Timor-Leste, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, or Thailand
- You must have a demonstrable need for financial support
- You must be committed to post-Congress knowledge-sharing activity
- You must agree to complete post-award evaluation and participate in PVRI awards promotions
Priority will be given to applicants who:
- show a commitment to working in the field of PH
- show initiative and leadership potential in the PH field
- are willing to engage with PVRI’s global or regional activities beyond the Congress
- have never attended a PVRI meeting
- would be unable to attend without financial support from PVRI
