In this PH Community Call we discussed: 

• Risk Assessment Models and Event-Free Survival in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
• PINK1/Parkin Deficiency Enhances Vascular Remodeling and Aggravates Hypoxia-induced Pulmonary Hypertension

Using lung immunohistochemistry and stereology, platelets were found to accumulate and co-localize with leukocytes, particularly monocytes, within the mural and adventitial space of remodeled vessels of patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension. 

Acute lung injury (ALI) involves inflammatory cytokines and chemokines, resulting in lung and multiple organ injuries. This study explored the mechanism of mitophagy and cGAS/STING pathway in oleic acid (OA)-induced ALI. Mice and pulmonary microvascular endothelial cells were divided into four groups: control group (Con), ALI group, FUNDC1−/− control group (F-Con), and FUNDC1−/− ALI group (F-ALI). After 24 h of modeling, proceed with tissue collection. Lung tissues were stained using hematoxylin eosin.

Fibrosing mediastinitis (FM) can block pulmonary vessels and airways, hindering treatment efficacy. Pulmonary artery (PA) stenting might provide a solution in such cases. This study involved 30 patients who had 49 PA stenting procedures for FM. Data on baseline characteristics, CT pulmonary angiography images, stent patency, and hemodynamics were collected.
