Ways to give
Your support changes lives. As a non-profit, we rely wholly on voluntary income. We receive no state funding from any of the countries we work in, so your support is vital.
Together we can make lives better for people living with pulmonary vascular disease...from diagnosis to treatment and, eventually, to cure.
Donate to us
An easy way to donate to us is to click on the link in the donate box or here. But if you prefer to donate offline, you can send a cheque to the Pulmonary Vascular Research Institute, 5 Tanner Street, London SE1 3LE, UK. If you live in the UK and are happy to gift aid your donation, please complete this Gift Aid Form and post it to us with your cheque. We are very grateful for all your contributions.
Fundraise for us
Why not try a sponsored challenge event – a 5k run, a half-marathon, a Tough Mudder, a bike ride, a mini-triathlon, a fire walk or a parachute jump? If you’re in the UK and you need some ideas, there are plenty of sites that can give you some inspiration...
- Find a Race - Find 1000's of runs, rides, swims, triathlons & more
- Running Calendar UK for 2024
- Home - Action Challenge
- Challenge Family (challenge-family.com)
Or you could create your own fundraising event
- a bake-off or a workplace cake sale
- a silent disco or a karaoke night
- a guided walk – historic, artistic, literary, or haunted!
- a golf tournament or a scavenger hunt
If you don’t know where to start and need some ideas, give us a shout. We can help you set up an online fundraising page, provide materials and messages, and share ideas to make your event a success.
Giving in memory
Remembering a loved one through donations in lieu of flowers at their funeral is a wonderful way to pay tribute to a special person whilst helping others. To give in memory of a loved one, you can ask your funeral director to arrange a collection at the funeral and share our details with them. They will arrange everything and donate your gifts to us.
Leave a gift in your will
A gift in your will could help us transform lives. It could help train a new PH specialist in an area where there are none. It could help us connect with regulators to improve the speed with which new treatments can reach patients. And it could fund life-changing research.
We understand that leaving a gift in your will is a very personal decision, and of course those closest to you will always come first. If, after looking after your loved ones, you would like to support us, we promise to treat you, your family and friends with respect and sensitivity. If you’d like to leave us a gift in your will, you will need to include this information in the legal document:
- Our full name: the Pulmonary Vascular Research Institute
- Our status: we are Registered as a Charity in England & Wales, number 1127115
- Our registered office address: 5 Tanner Street, London SE1 3LE, UK
You can check our details anytime on the UK Charity Commission website.
You can decide whether or not to tell us about your will, and we’ll respect your privacy if you choose not to inform us. And if at any time you change your mind, we will respect your decision
- We will spend your gift wisely, and respect your wishes about how it is used
- We will hold any information you share with us about a potential gift securely
- We will comply with Our Supporter Promise
Please note – whilst we’re a global community, we’re a small UK-based charity, and we’re only familiar with UK law. If you’re thinking of leaving us a gift in your will, we would be delighted to discuss this with you and offer whatever help and advice we can, but we are by no means experts.
