At PVRI, we embrace innovation to accelerate learning, administration and communications. Our use of artificial intelligence (AI) is guided by the following principles: 

• Privacy and security: We never input confidential, personal, or sensitive data into public AI models. Protecting your information in compliance with GDPR and UK data legislation remains our priority. 
• Human-centric oversight: AI is a tool to assist our team, not replace them. Every piece of content, data analysis, or output generated with AI assistance undergoes human review to ensure relevance, integrity, and clinical accuracy. 
• Fairness and transparency: We identify and mitigate biases in AI outputs to ensure our communications remain inclusive and representative of our wider PVRI global community. 
• Sustainability: We are mindful of the environmental impact of AI. 

We are learning about ways we can balance out the benefits of using AI whilst minimising its impact on our environment. AI helps us work smarter, but our work remains driven by humans.
