PVRI appoints new Head of Communications and Marketing, Debs Waller
Debs Waller has amassed over 20 years of experience in the field of communications and digital marketing, primarily within the charity sector. She holds professional qualifications in internal communications, website development, and multimedia authoring. Through her career, Debs has managed two small businesses, one specializing in website designing and the other in childcare.
In her most recent position, she served as a valuable asset to a national membership charity, where she spearheaded the development of communication and marketing strategies, and bolstered the organisation's profile through digital campaigns, membership development, and media relations. Notably, she took charge of managing the charity's website and played a key role in transforming its perception through brand management and reputation enhancement.
Excited by new opportunities, Debs eagerly embraces her role with the Pulmonary Vascular Research Institute. While her previous experience encompasses fields such as education, international development, childcare, community development, and family rights, she acknowledges that the medical sector is uncharted territory for her. However, Debs approaches this unfamiliar domain with enthusiasm and determination, bringing with her a breadth of knowledge, skills, and experiences necessary to thrive in her new role.
"I am excited to step into this fantastic role at PVRI. The passion and unwavering dedication exhibited by its staff and members is inspiring. It is an honour to join forces with such a remarkable group of people who share a common goal: to alleviate the global burden of pulmonary hypertension. Each member of PVRI brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and unique perspectives that are essential to our success. I wholeheartedly invite you to connect with me, whether it be to simply say hello or to share your invaluable vision and hopes for PVRI."
