Are you living with Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) or know someone who is?
We know the devastating impact PH has on the lives of patients and their loved ones. We believe that by working together globally, we can find better ways to treat patients with the hope that one day we will find a global cure for all types of PH.
We achieve our goals by connecting experts and early-career PH professionals. This includes clinicians, researchers, pharmaceutical companies, industry and drug regulators across the world who are working within the field of PH and Pulmonary Vascular Disease (PVD). We provide platforms for them to share their knowledge and expertise, debate ideas and inspire new research. However, none of this would be possible without support from patients and their loved ones.
There are many ways that you, as a patient, a caregiver, or a family member, can help improve the care of patients worldwide. You can give as much or as little time as you choose to the PVRI.

Fundraise for PVRI
Raising funds for PVRI is a great way to progress research while taking part in something fun or challenging. It’s also a good way to raise awareness of the condition in your community. Take a look at Ways to give for inspiration.
Share your story
We want to raise awareness about what it’s like to live with PH in countries across the world. Why not tell us your story, as much or as little as you are willing to share, so we can share real-life case studies to help others better understand the condition from a patient’s experience? All you have to do is get in touch with us to let us know that you are happy to share your story with us.
Take part in clinical trials or patient surveys
By contributing through clinical trials or patient surveys, you will improve the global understanding of PH — not just in the country where you live but worldwide. Register as a Friend of PVRI for free, and we’ll let you know when opportunities arise.
Donate to PVRI
Your donations support vital research, education, and awareness raising that can save lives worldwide. Even small amounts make a difference in helping to find the next breakthrough. Help us strive towards a world without PVD.
Volunteer your time and skills
We have a small core team of staff based in the UK, but our work expands across all continents. If you have time on your hands and a specific skill set, why not get in touch to see if there is a support role that suits you? We’re particularly keen to hear from people with expertise in IT, CRMs, event management, translation, video creation, website management, social media, google grants or administration.
Become a patient representative
We have Workstreams and Task Forces worldwide, working collaboratively to further our understanding of PH in specific regions and specialities (e.g. how it affects different groups of people). At times, these groups need feedback and input from patients. If you are interested in becoming a patient representative, please get in touch.
